Weekly COVID-19 report 14.01.21
Date Added: 18/01/2021
COVID-19 cases remain high
The new COVID-19 cases in Central Bedfordshire in the week ending 10 January have slightly decreased to 1,489 (a decrease of 317 cases from the previous week).
The report is also sadly showing 20 deaths, this is an increase from previous weeks where this figure was 17 deaths.
The direction of travel for COVID-19 cases is pointing in the right direction with slight decrease from the previous week. This is good news but the number of COVID-19 cases is still very high and the pressures on the hospitals remains significant. We must continue with following the lockdown rules to protect the NHS and save lives. We must all stay at home and remember Hands, Face, and Space.
Our partner areas are also in a similar situation.
Milton Keynes – 2,001 cases and 18 deaths
Luton – 1,872 cases and 18 deaths
Bedford – 1,430 cases and 15 deaths
