Central Bedfordshire Council: Have your say on rules about walking your dog or drinking alcohol in public spaces
Date Added: 25/09/2023
You may be aware that Central Bedfordshire Council are currently reviewing their Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). PSPOs must be reviewed every three years, and the current one is due for review in 2024.
A PSPO is a tool under ASB legislation which enables CBC to restrict certain activities in certain places. The Council’s current PSPO has specific restrictions around dog control and tackling nuisance caused by people drinking alcohol in public places, where it is having a negative impact on the area. Full details of the specific orders and an interactive map showing where they are in place can be found on the Council’s website.
CBC have recently launched a 12-week public consultation to gather residents feedback - Have your say on rules about walking your dog or drinking alcohol in public spaces by clicking here.
