Sandy Town Council require to fill the vacancy of Civic Officer.
Sandy Town Council wish to recruit an experienced Administrator to work 18 hours per week, Monday to Friday to provide administration and reception support to the Town Clerk and Town Council and to assist the Mayor’s with administrative support.
Knowledge of working in an office environment, excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills and experience of working with all Microsoft packages are essential.
This is a varied and interesting role with a focus on dealing with day-to-day telephone and face to face enquiries in a receptionist capacity. The role also includes administrative support and involvement in Council and Civic events and community engagement. A background in Local Government and a knowledge of Civic etiquette would also be an advantage, but more importantly is the ability to be flexible, use initiative and have a keen eye for detail.
18 hours per week with occasional weekend or evening work.
NJC Scale Points SCP 7 currently £22,369 (pro rata)
