Sandy Town Council: Robot pitch marking has arrived in Sandy

Date Added: 20/09/2023

Sandy Town Council is embracing modern technology with the use of a GPS line marking robot. GroundTech staff have today (Tuesday) programmed the robot with the measurements of all the individual pitches with pinpoint accuracy.
Sandy Town Mayor, Councillor Joanna Hewitt said "Seeing the robot systematically work across the field marking out perfect lines, corners and the centre line circle was amazing."

Mr Daniel White, sales executive from GroundTech added: "We are delighted to work alongside a progressive Town Council seeking sustainable solutions to meet the sporting expectations from those aged 7 to 70."

The football pitches are now all marked up and ready for the new season.
