National Highways: A1 northbound Seddington to Beeston resurfacing

National Highways plan to carry out resurfacing work on the A1 northbound between Seddington and Beeston. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a safer, smoother and better-defined road surface.
They plan to complete this work over 2 nights on Monday 19 September and Tuesday 20 September, working between 9pm and 5am, weather conditions permitting.
To carry out the work safely, they will need to close the A1 northbound between Biggleswade North Roundabout and Sandy Roundabout and divert traffic. Traffic will be diverted off the A1 onto Hill Lane, Hitchin Road, Vinegar Hill and the A603 to re-join the A1 at Sandy Roundabout. A map of the diversion can be found below.
