Central Bedfordshire Council: Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan engagement event at Biggleswade tomorrow
Date Added: 04/11/2022
Enjoy walking or cycling in and around Biggleswade, Potton and Sandy?
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we're looking to improve cycling and walking routes and would like to hear your thoughts to help shape a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for Central Bedfordshire.
Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs) are an initiative from Central Government asking local authorities to put together a long-term strategic approach for the walking and cycling infrastructure which is required across an area.
Officers will be at Biggleswade Library tomorrow, from 10am to 2pm to talk to residents about the aspirational route network in more detail and answer questions.
Once the engagement process for all towns is completed, a package of schemes will be developed with residents having another opportunity to comment on a proposed Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).
Residents can view and comment on the proposed networks for Biggleswade, Potton and Sandy on the online engagement platform Commonplace.
