Date Added: 25/03/2024
On the 21st of March 2024, the Mayor of Sandy met resident Mr Reynolds at his home, 9 Middleham Close, to view a newly installed defibrillator that Mr Reynolds has generously donated to the people of Sandy. This new defibrillator complements four others maintained by the Council.
Mr Reynolds was excited about the opportunity to donate to his community. Having lived in Sandy for more than 55 years, the development of the community is very dear to him, and it is his hope that other individuals will be motivated to donate generously to the community as well. Mr Reynolds remarked: “It would really be fulfilling to see other members of the community dedicate themselves to similar causes to make Sandy a model town for the entire country”.
The Mayor of Sandy, Cllr Joanna Hewitt, expressed her gratitude to Mr Reynolds and promised that Sandy Town Council will see that it is maintained for the benefit of all residents of Sandy.
Subsequently, the Council will hold a training event in collaboration with the Community Heartbeat Trust to sensitise residents of Sandy on the importance, proper usage and maintenance of defibrillators.
