Central Bedfordshire Council: Have you thought about a career working with under 5's?

Book your FREE PLACE on our course starting in October - An Introduction to Working in Early Years Settings

What does the course cover?

You will learn about the role of the early years practitioner and how early years settings operate.
You will also undertake practical activities to help you understand how different types of play support a child’s development.

In addition, you will complete a voluntary placement in the nursery or reception class, so that you can get some hands-on experience.

Who is it suitable for?

Anyone wishing to begin a career in early years. No experience is needed.

How is it completed?

You’ll attend 5 morning sessions, fully participate in all activities, and complete your voluntary placement in the nursery or reception class for a minimum of 4 hours.

What are the entry requirements?

You must be at least 19 years old, be able to attend all taught sessions and complete the voluntary placement.

Course dates:

The course will run on Friday’s, 9.30am - 12pm
• Session 1: 7 October 2022
• Session 2: 21 October 2022
• Session 3: 4 November 2022
• Session 4: 11 November 2022
• Session 5: 25 November 2022

Location:

The Rushmere Park Academy, East Street, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1EW.
