Water Saving Week

Date Added: 18/05/2022

It's Water Saving Week!

Saving water not only saves money off your utility bills but also helps the environment, as getting clean water to your home uses lots of energy.

If you're wanting to water your garden - especially if you have newly planted trees such as the ones we gave out to residents back in March, why not try mulching. Using mulch is a great way to save water, as it provides a protective ground cover and reduces the amount of water lost to evaporation. The insulation it provides also protects soil from the wind.

If you've recently planted a new tree or hedgerow please remember to plot it on the Queen's Green Canopy map, in celebration of the upcoming Queen's Platinum Jubilee!
