Bedfordshire Flood Preparedness Week

Date Added: 22/11/2021

Know your flood risk

This week is Bedfordshire Flood Preparedness Week, coinciding with the Environment Agency's national Flood Action Week.
We are working with partners, including Bedfordshire Police, Bedford Borough Council and Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to help best prepare people.

Today's focus is on knowing your flood risk.

You don't need to live by a river or a brook to be at risk of flooding. If the ground is wet or lots of rain falls very quickly, surface water flooding is a risk.

You can check rainfall levels, current flood warnings or alerts and flood risks in the next 5 days via the GOV.UK website: https://bit.ly/3l0xheN
