At a virtual meeting of Sandy Town Council on 28 September 2020 members agreed to start the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan and agreed to the establishment of a Steering Group, to be made up of Councillors, residents and businesses of the town.
What is a Neighbourhood Plan? A neighbourhood plan is a document created by local people that sets out planning policies for the neighbourhood area. Those planning policies are then used by the local planning authority to decide whether to approve planning applications for the neighbourhood area.
