Vacancy - Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

Sandy Town Council is looking for a highly motivated clerk, to be proactive in fulfilling the Town Council's ambitions for itself and the town of Sandy.
We are a Quality Council, which is to be re-established over the next 12 months, it requires excellent management and leadership in working together with staff, councillors, the community and partners.
The successful applicant will:
Possess current working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of local authorities, especially Town Councils
Have a strong financial background with experience of local authority finances
Hold the appropriate qualification to maintain Quality Status
To demonstrate experience of managing a staff team
Be able to work with all levels within local government, local businesses and other authorities and members of the public
Attend all meetings of Council and its committees
Be able to represent the Council at events, including social occasions and portray it in a positive manner at all times
Have a full, clean driving licence
The post is full time, 37 hours a week, including some evenings and weekends and the salary scale is SCP 43-47.
