Street Lighting & Street Furniture

The majority of street lighting in Sandy is provided by Central Bedfordshire Council and if you have any enquiries or wish to report a faulty lamp you can report it online here. But Sandy Town Council does own and maintain some streetlights. These are easily recognised as they have a number on the column beginning “S” and there will be a sticker on the column with the Town Council’s telephone number. If you want to report one of these street lights please ring us on 01767 681491 with the number of the column (if possible). These streetlights are maintained by the Town Council’s independent contractor.

The Town Council also owns and maintains some street furniture in Sandy including litter bins, planters, benches etc.  Several Sandy residents have kindly donated seats and planters to the Town in the past, often in memory of family members, and we are always pleased to talk to residents about donations.
