Welcome back to Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre
Date Added: 08/11/2021
Welcome back!
We are very pleased to announce that Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre will re-open it’s doors on Sat 13 Nov 2021.
The safety of our audiences, artists and staff remain our greatest priority as we move forward, we will therefore be re-opening in a phased approach which includes a reduced capacity audience and socially distanced seating.
Our Library Box Office on the ground floor has re-opened and tickets can be purchased in person Tuesday to Friday 9.30am - 5pm, and Saturday 9.30 - 3pm. Alternatively you can book your tickets via our website.
We will be constantly reviewing the measures in place and we thank you for being considerate to others and helping us to keep everyone safe.
We cannot wait to welcome you back to our venue.
Woodland Tales with Granddad
Sat 13 Nov 11am
Something is happening in the woods, voices can be heard, and a strange metallic smell fills the air. Machines are gathering at its edge and a mysterious call is heard across the valley. Laura the ladybird, Jeffrey the spider, Brett the Woodlouse and Willoughby the Woodpecker are worried. Velda the Vixen knows there’s a one person who can help them – Granddad. But is there enough time? Can they save the wood? And will the mystery stranger help?
Sadly we've had to cancel the afternoon performance of this fantastic show, but there is still space in the morning show. Anyone still requiring refunds can now contact the box office.

Scream Phone
Wed 17 Nov 8pm
It’s 1989, the girls are having a sleepover and you’re like, totally invited!
Pillow fights in their underwear, singing into hair brushes, and gossiping about their crushes, what could possibly go wrong? As long as they don’t answer the over-sized pink phone… dun dun DUUUN!
Based on the retro classic game Dream Phone, Scream Phone will take you on a killer journey back to the 80’s with an infectious original* soundtrack.
Scream meets Clueless in this hilarious spoof horror musical!
*Disclaimer: These songs are all original, so you won’t (well, you might) recognise some of your favourite 80’s hits.
“A show that won't just tickle and tantalise, it's an absolute thrilling treat.” North West End *****
"This spoof horror musical will have you in fits of laughter, on the edge of your seat and in admiration throughout." Three Weeks *****
“This trio can rightfully lay claim to the camp musical comedy crown at the [Edinburgh] fringe this year” The Stage ****
