Spooky stories and library event for children

Date Added: 28/10/2020

Ghoulies and ghoosties, long-leggety beasties, and things that go bump in the night! Wooooh!
This topical bulletin is focusing on Halloween books for children and a special half term activity for children aged from 3 years old upwards.

We have loads of spooky novels to keep you on the edge of your seats this Halloween.

You or your children can request specific books to borrow using our Select and Collect service.  Or you can ask for a lucky dip bundle based on your normal preferences.

To discover some of our recommended spooky books for 6-8 year olds or for 9-12 year olds follow these links then reserve them to collect from your nearest Central Bedfordshire branch. Or search our catalogue Arena to find even more choice.

If you prefer, we offer a wide variety of ebooks and audiobooks which you can download or reserve to read as soon as they become available from  RBdigital and Borrowbox

Diary of a Dummy – how can a ventriloquist dummy be evil?   The Unimaginary Friend - strange things happen when imagination runs wild.   The Wizards of Once – Rivals, Xar a wizard, and Wish a warrior girl, must work together to save the day.
