A1(M) junction 10 Stotfold / A507 – lighting renewal update
National Highways have written with an update on the ongoing lighting renewal work taking place on the A1(M) junction 10 (Stotfold) slip roads. The work is progressing well. They have now completed installation of new street lights on both northbound slip roads. Work will continue to introduce new street lighting to the southbound slip roads between now and June.
To allow new cabling to be installed safely, they need to close the A507 access to the A1(M) at junction 10 from Stotfold. It will be closed over 5 nights from Monday 9 May to Friday 13 May between 9pm and 6am, weather conditions permitting.
Closures and diversions
The A507 will be closed at the A1(M) at junction 10 from Stotfold only.
When access to junction 10 is closed, traffic will be diverted west on the A507 towards Clophill, northbound on the A6 to the A421/A6 Interchange at Bedford and then east on the A421 to join the A1 at the Black Cat Roundabout.
The A507 east of the A1(M) junction 10 and access to the Baldock Services will remain open.
A map of the diversion can be found here.
