Revised consultation on changes to Special Schools and Additional Resource Provisions within mainstream schools
Date Added: 23/03/2021
In February, we launched a consultation which invited parents, carers and other interested parties to give their views on proposals relating to special schools and additional resource provisions within mainstream schools.
We have listened to feedback from parents taking part and are grateful that some inaccuracies in the wording of the survey questions have been highlighted. We need to address this before re-launching the consultation.
We will analyse and consider the comments made by those who have already participated in the consultation, but we would encourage those who have already participated to resubmit their views on a revised consultation.
We acknowledge and apologise for the inconvenience caused to those who have already taken the time to respond. However, we hope that parents and carers will recognise that we are acting on their feedback, so that everyone taking part can be confident that their views are properly represented.
We will work with SNAP Parent Carer Forum on the revised consultation which we will re-launch by the end of the week.
It is important that respondents are given plenty of time to respond when we relaunch the consultation, so this will be open for feedback for twelve weeks. This means the consultation will end a few weeks later than originally planned.
We will promote the re-launched consultation widely to encourage everyone to have their say.
