Reminder: Have your say on engine idling in Central Bedfordshire

Date Added: 13/04/2022

We launched an engine idling survey to gather a better understanding of whether residents feel there are problems with vehicles leaving their engines running when stationary in Central Bedfordshire and the impact this has on individuals and the environment.

We have recently adopted some legislation which allows us to take enforcement action if drivers leave their engines idling when they are stationary.

The law requires us to take a measured approach to any action we take. This means we need to make it clear when, where and why it is a problem.

We’d like to hear your views about if there are any problems in your local area, so we can decide how we use this legislation effectively.

The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and closes on the 30 April 2022. To take part visit www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/consultations.
