• a separate splash pool completes an enhanced swimming experience
• a large, state-of-the-art, fitness suite exercise studios for a range of different classes
• two squash courts also feature in a great package of leisure facilitiesa café
• a creche and community space
• a children’s outdoor play zone and an outdoor fitness trail
• improved walking and cycling routes
• enhanced landscaping, planting and enjoyable public areas
• car parking, cycle parking and bus drop-off areas
The proposed centre benefits from nearly £20 million of Government ‘Levelling Up’ funding. It will offer you upgraded, superior leisure provision as recommended in our Leisure Facilities Strategy
There's plenty to look forward to.
A planning application will be submitted shortly with community engagement and consultation in early 2022. We will let you know more closer to the time so you can get involved.
At a future point, you will have the opportunity to help in the naming process for the centre too.
There’s significant new investment in leisure facilities in Central Bedfordshire planned. We also have a new leisure centre in Leighton Linslade and improvements to the Jenkins Pavilion in Sandy.
