Date Added: 21/04/2022
Over 5,000 applications received this year
Monday (19 April) was National Primary Offer Day, so pupils starting primary school and moving up to middle school in September found out whether they have been allocated one of their school preferences.
Over 3,500 pupils applied for a primary school place for September 2022 and 93 per cent were offered their first choice.
For middle school places, we received over 2,200 applications and 93 per cent were offered their first choice.
In total, 5,830 children applied for primary school and middle school places - an increase from 2021, when we received just over 5,300 applications. There was an increase in pupils applying for places at primary school – from 3,175 last year to 3,524 this year.
Middle school application numbers remained around the same. 2,246 pupils applied to middle school this year, only 64 more than the 2,182 middle school place applications received last year.
98 per cent of applications received this year were submitted through our website.
Anyone wishing to decline or change their offered place can do so by submitting a change of preference form. The deadline for this is 3 May 2022 with new offers going out on 23 May 2022 (middle school) and 1 June (starting school).
