How to recycle your real Christmas tree

Date Added: 05/01/2022

Is your Christmas tree looking a little limp and threadbare? It might be time to say farewell. But don't be sad, it could have another life as wood chippings for paths in our local parks and woodlands.

To recycle your real tree, simply leave it next to your recycling bin, on your normal collection day between Monday, 10 January and Friday, 21 January 2022.

• Please don't put it in a bag or sack.
• No other garden waste will be accepted during this time.
• Trees should be no taller than 6 feet (1.8m) tall, with trunks no greater than 3 inches (15cm) in diameter.
• Alternatively, you can also recycle trees at your local recycling centre.
