Climate change scorecard

Date Added: 24/02/2022

New scorecards assessing local authorities on their climate change strategies have scored our Sustainability Plan 63%, the highest single-tier council score in the region.

Data compiled by Climate Emergency UK, a not-for-profit organisation, assessed climate plans of all local authorities across the country. We received above average across all areas of scoring and top marks for 'commitment and integration'.

We know there is a lot more work to be in this area and are constantly looking to improve and evolve practices to become more sustainable, reduce our carbon footprint across all services we deliver.

More information on the methodology behind the scorecards is available on the Climate Emergency UK website.
