Central Bedfordshire Council: The Local Plan was adopted at Full Council yesterday
Date Added: 23/07/2021
The ‘Central Bedfordshire Local Plan 2015-2035’ was adopted at Full Council yesterday evening, following extensive public consultation, public hearings, and a lengthy examination by independent Planning Inspectors.
The Local Plan sets out how and where new homes, jobs and infrastructure will be delivered in Central Bedfordshire; outlining the strategy for ensuring that growth is delivered in the right place and is of the right character and quality.
It’s not easy to produce a Local Plan that balances the conflicting pressures of ambitious government targets for new homes and jobs, whilst protecting the countryside and green belt, so thank you to the thousands of you who helped shape the plan over the last few years.
