Bess Adult Learning Update
Date Added: 20/08/2020
The start of a new academic year
Helping you with learning in the community and one-to-one support into work.
As the country starts to emerge from lockdown, Further Education training providers, as with schools, are expected to start opening their doors to classroom learning again. Since March, BESS has been restricted to delivering its courses online and whilst we successfully managed to support many of our residents in that way, we realise that option will not have suited everyone.
We are, therefore, assessing venues around Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough (taking account of Covid-19 safety guidelines), to put a curriculum in place that will meet the learning and skills needs of residents. It will be possible to access the wide range of workshops and courses via a number of different ways; online, distance based and classroom. They will include support in finding employment or changing jobs and career progression, improving IT and digital skills, using the internet and social media and help with health and wellbeing. If you need support with home schooling you may be interested in our new 'Helping Children with Learning' programme.
For help finding a course that meets your needs, provide your details online and an adviser will be in touch with individual support with your next steps.
