Bedfordshire Ramblers: Helping you Enjoy the countryside even more

Date Added: 22/04/2022

It has been a great Easter for getting out and about in our lovely countryside. There's blossom in the hedge rows and on the trees, Primroses and bluebells in the woods, Fields have a rich yellow colour from the flowering Rape and there's gold from the Gorse bushes on the downs.

With more and more people getting out into the countryside more and more people are thinking how much more enjoyable it would be if only I could understand these countryside maps.

To help you enjoy the countryside even more here in Bedfordshire help is at hand as over the next few months Bedfordshire Ramblers are running courses on Map reading, Use of apps and maps for walking, and one for those who would like to lead walks.

All the courses take place on a Sunday, cost just £10 and are open to all. Under 16's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

All the courses are of a practical nature, get participants involved and have  knowledgeable and experienced leaders.

The first one on map reading is on Sunday 8th May at Old Warden Village Hall.
