Green Homes Grant for cavity and loft insulation for employees living in Central Bedfordshire
Central Bedfordshire Council are offering their local residents the opportunity to have their homes insulated for free. The offer relates to loft and cavity wall insulation and is part of the Green Homes Scheme and all materials and labour will be provided free of charge.
The Green Homes Grant scheme seeks to improve the energy efficiency of homes occupied by households with a combined annual income of no more than £30,000 to help reduce fuel poverty, work towards phasing out high carbon fossil fuel heating systems and contribute toward carbon reduction targets.

The Government have extended the £3,000 incentive to employers who take on a new apprentice before 31st January 2022.
The Academy at Central Bedfordshire Council offers a variety of apprenticeship programmes including Business Administration and Customer Service. As well as supporting apprentices, The Academy works closely with employers, offering free training for the apprentice’s mentor.
A local Workforce Development Manager said ‘The Academy deliver a high level of service, support, and advice. I would thoroughly recommend them as a training provider, their drive for excellence has resulted in many of our apprentices’ gaining distinctions at the end of their apprenticeship and they have contributed to improving retention rates within the council’
