Adult learning and employment support available now 22.03.21

English and maths courses starting after Easter

Do you need an English or maths qualification to help you gain work or to progress with your career?

Do you need an English or maths qualification to progress with your learning?

Do you want to brush up your English or maths skills for everyday life?

Our small group, adult learning provision has English and maths courses starting after Easter. Sessions take place in community venues or are distance based using group video calling and online learning resources. Groups will work towards English and maths level 1 or level 2 Functional Skills qualifications.

For those who want to brush up English or maths skills but who are not feeling ready to start working towards a qualification we also offer Everyday English and maths short courses as a starting point to 'have a go' and get back into learning.

Employment support
Do you need to build knowledge and skills to help you gain work or progress with your career?

Our careers advisers are currently delivering workshops and short courses to help you with the skills you need to gain work or to support career progression or a career change.

Sessions are being delivered using group video calling during the day, during evenings and on Saturdays. Workshops and courses include:
• Introduction to digital job searching workshop
• How to tailor a CV and cover letter workshop
• Writing an effective personal statement workshop
• Interview skills workshop
• Get started with a career change
• Get started with health and social care

Free Level 3 Adult Learning Qualifications
Lifetime Skills Guarantee

The Government recently announced the introduction of the National Skills Fund as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee. This provides funding for adults 19+ who want to achieve their first full level 3 qualification. This will help adults to train and gain valuable skills needed to improve job prospects and support career progression.

We are excited to share that the following qualifications can now be funded:
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
• Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
