A1 southbound between Biggleswade and South Langford Hill

Highways England will be carrying out essential work to A1 southbound between the above locations. Work will include resurfacing, renewal of lines and studs.
They plan to complete this work over 6 weeks from Thursday 22 April to Wednesday 2 June, weeknights only, between 8pm and 6am, subject to weather conditions.
Closures and diversion
They will carry out this work in two phases:
• Phase 1 –Thursday 22 April to Friday 23 April
• Phase 2 – Thursday 13 May to Wednesday 2 June
They have closely liaised with the Local Highway Authority to agree the most suitable diversion route which is as follows:
Traffic be diverted off the A1 at Sandy Roundabout to join the A603 Bedford Road, A421 southbound, A6 to Clophill and A507 to join the A1(M) at junction 10.

Please be assured all their sites have strict safeguarding measures to prevent the spread of COVID19 and none of their sites are open to the public. They will be carrying out all works following safety guidelines set by the Government.
