Cemetery consultation continues
Date Added: 16/09/2014
Over 40 people attended a public consultation meeting arranged by Sandy Town Council on Thursday 11 September 2014. The meeting was arranged after a request from electors who wanted to express their concerns about the existing burial regulations. The Mayor and other councillors were present to listen to the views expressed.
The council recognises that many people feel very strongly about this emotive subject and is still inviting anyone who would like to explain their feelings to talk to the council.
There are several ways to do this including:
• Writing or emailing the council with your views
• Making an appointment to speak to councillors
• Coming to the open morning at the Council offices on Friday 19 September 2014 when residents can chat informally with the Mayor and other councillors over coffee and cake
News Release with Mayor's comments following the meeting.
